Squad Info

Squad Selection

There are no age rules for membership to each squad. Acceptance into each level is based on ability and assessed and decided on by the Head Coach.

Squad Structure

Swimmers progress between squads when it is obvious they require more challenges in the pool and is usually decided on between the Head Coach, swimmer and parents. It is not based solely on age or times.

Further Information

Please take some time to read this section and if you have any questions please contact one of the club officials.

Squad membership is open to all persons of any age provided they can swim 25m of each stroke unaided at the Coach's discretion.

Learn to swim, or Mini Squad, has dedicated coaches and provides a pathway for children into squad proper.

Squad training fees are payable on a per term basis and depend upon which squad you are in and how many times a week you will train. Our training times also vary on a per term basis.

During the Spring and Summer terms of the swim season, Head Coach will choose a Junior, Intermediate and Senior Trainer of the Month who will each receive a towel. The club hosts weekly club meets, where swimmers can gain points towards our Most Improved awards for the season. At our Club Championships meet, these awards are presented along with our Attendance Awards and Age Champion.

Swimmers are free to individually nominate through the year for Inter-Club meets, BSA meets (typically held at Chandler), SQ meets (eg State Campionships) and beyond.
